On March 12, 2021 CIRSES became a Social Promotion Association An important change for the Center which however remains firmly anchored to its principles and aimed to develop research and projects that can respond to the challenges that the educational and training systems pose. We therefore hope to be able to work for a long time with the realities we have been collaborating with for years and to expand our network of exchanges and sharing of ideas. CIRSES - Centro di Iniziativa e di Ricerca sul Sistema Educativo e Scientifico APS (Initiative and Research Centre on the Education and Scientific Systems) was established in October 1980.

CIRSES aims at studying the Italian and European Education and Training Systems. Over time, the Centre has carried out many important initiatives and research studies, which played a significant role in the Italian debate on School-related issues:

• Research on School Drop Out
• Private Schools in Europe
• Gender-based Stereotypes in Textbooks and training tools
• Bullying and discrimination based on gender and sexual orientation
• Inclusion in Education
• Learning by Skills

Organization

CIRSES is organized as:
 

Assembly of Members – It’s composed by all the individual and the collective members. Can become Members of the Centre experts for Education problems, School operators, experts with specific interest in the educational aspects of the different disciplines. New Member must be accepted by the Board of Directors.

Board  – It’s called by the President of the Centre; it has the responsibility for the proper scientific approach and methodology of the planned research, as well as verification of their results

CIRSES top management: 

President and Legal Representative  - Elected by the Assembly of Members. The current President is Dott. Alessandra Antinori

The Mission of CIRSES is to:

Promote innovative studies on the scientific research system and on the Italian education system - including technical and professional training, lifelong learning and adult education - also by examining the relationship between these systems and the labor market, economic, cultural and political institutions of Italian society, as well as of European countries

Promote the comparative analysis of national education systems and their relations with the systems of other European and non-European countries

Develop international collaboration on the problems of education, training and training through the designing, implementation and management of projects and research at national and international level

Participate in the debate on reforms and changes in education and training systems in Italy and in Europe, formulating organic proposals relating to education and training systems and scientific research in the didactic and pedagogical fields

Design, implement and manage projects, research, initiatives, educational, training, information and awareness-raising activities, through participation in calls, tenders, at regional, national, European and extra-European manifestations of interest promoted by public and private bodies and organizations

Organize and / or participate in the organization of training initiatives, courses and / or training, information and awareness modules aimed at teachers, students of schools of all levels, educators, psycho-socio-health operators, managers, entrepreneurs, human resources managers, workers

Organize and / or participate in the organization of conferences, lectures, seminars, study meetings, internships, events and advertising activities carried out in person and / or through the use of multimedia and online tools.
